Getting into the Christmas spirt

Christmas shopping the day after Thanksgiving is something I haven't done in over 8 years. I don't like the crowds, the rude people that push you out of the way, or the long lines. It just isn't worth it to me.
Well, this year I thought I would go out and see what kind of deals they would have onn kids toys. So on my way to Target, I was feeling a little hungry. I stopped at Wendy's. I sat down by the window to enjoy by mouth watering burger and fries. I was looking out into the parking lot and noticed this older homeless man walking around and asking people for money. I felt so bad. b Everyone was blowing him off, and he looked so confused. A few minutes later, he walked into Wendy's and sat his belongings down on the table and stood there and looked around. One of the workers that was cleaning up the tables started walking towards him, so he picked up his stuff and took off. Where is the Christmas spirit people!
I felt so bad. I thought this poor man is hungry and just wants to eat, and NOBODY is willing to help him out. So I was half way done eating. (I really wanted to finish) I picked up my stuff threw it in the trash and ran to the front to order a couple of burgers. Got the cheeseburgers for him and went on a man hunt to get him his food. I couldn't find him, I looked all over. So, I got in my truck and drove around. I found him standing in front of Circuit City. I parked the truck and ran across the parking lot... this was the conversation he and I had...
Me: Hi, sir. I thought you might be hungry so I got these cheeseburgers for you.
Bum: Ohh... well, I am actually homeless for the night and am looking for any money that you may be able to give me so that I can find a place to stay. (my $4 wasn't going to pay rent, and it wasn't going to fill him up in liquid form either!)
Me: I'm sorry, I don't have any money on me. I just spent my few dollars I had left on YOUR cheeseburgers.
Bum: Well, do you think you could go into this subway and buy me a bag of chips with your credit card and get some money back for me!?
What I wanted to say: ( Are you serious! I want to smash those cheeseburgers in your face right now you idiot!)
Me: No, I'm sorry. I don't have my purse or credit cards on me. Merry Christmas!
The only thing that made me not so mad, was the visual of be stuffing the hamburger bag in his face! haaha
Moral of the story....
We all need to pick our BUM's a little more carefully!!!

Breakfast conversation with Marcos...

While eating breakfast this morning, Marcos was going over all of his bumps, scrapes, and bruises. He fell off his razor at the park and skinned his knee and ankle (that one did look bad), he was talking about his back flip into the pool that this summer that resulted in 4 staples to the head, how Isaiah bit his finger last night, and how just moments before Isaiah leaned over and pinched him!
Marcos: how much worse can it get?! I have so many owwie's. I fell off my scooter, I hit my head, Isaiah pinches me and bites me! How much worse can it get?! Why don't you ever get hurt?

Me: It is all part of being a kid. You just get hurt. When I was little I had bruises and scrappes all over my legs too.

I began the wonderful story about falling out of the VW rabbit that my mom use to drive.
My sister Mindy was over at Summer Paiges house playing. My mom told me to go with her, so I could run up to the door. (I was already mad, because I didn't get to go over and play. Really I was that annoying little sister that wanted to do whatever Mindy did.)
So, we had just turned onto the Paiges street, and my mom started workin' the gas pedal. I don't know how fast we were going, probably 10 or 15 mph. It seemed more like 50! Any how, I was leaning on the not so forgiving door while playing with that contraption some like to call... the door handle! I fell right out of that sucker, but landed on my feet! I must have looked like a deer in headlights. Eyes popping out of my head the size of golfballs I imagine! I remember not really knowing what I should do, so I put my lanky legs to work and ran with the car, while holding onto the now open door! When my mom realized what was going on and stopped the car, I jumped back into the car and looked down at my toe. Now realizing that I was barefoot and now my big toe was all bloody and gross! So, I went into the Paige's house cleaned and bandaged everything and the rest is history. ( I still think my mom pushed me as a way of training me to become a better runner! Just kidding mom, I love you!

So after telling Marc this story, he was just sat there, you could see his wheels in his head turning. Finally he says this...

Marcos: Mom, how come you were being a nerd and started playing with the door handles?

Haahaa I got called out by my own kid!

Isaiah had a messy week

His, not sure if I'm caught yet face. He got a hold of Marcos' green washable marker during homework time, and hid with it.

Hitting the paparazzi only gets you in trouble!

After getting cleaned up, why not pour out a bottle of lotion?! But he looks so cute, you can't get mad at him!

HAPPY BE-LATED BIRTHDAY TO THE WORLD'S MOST INCREDIBLE, COOLEST, GREATEST, SILLIEST, MOST AWESOMEST little BROTHER EVER!!!!!

I just wanted to tell my most FABULOUS, most THOUGHTFUL, and GIVING brother Darren how much I love him! I was so happy that he came too Cali to see me for his birthday... or was it, came to see Disneyland for his birthday?( I think it was for me... anyways) He is such a great little brother. The amount of people he wanted to fight was amazing! He is so tough! Always sticking up for me! he really is my living HERO!! ;) I am so happy that he was so close in age with me! I remember when my mom was pregnant with him and my parents had called the family into the kitchen to discuss what we were going to name him. It was looking pretty crazy with all the random names flying around that table. The one that sticks out the most is Luke Skywalker. I still think my parents made a mistake by not naming him that! He is that TERRIFFIC! If only they could clone him, we could only be SOOO LUCKY!Brother I love you and again I am so blessed to be your sister!
Now I believe I have said all things that he told me and then some! So until next year, keep up the greatness and kill me with kindness and gifts! And next years birthday post will be SPECTACULAR!

My date with Marcos

(Not the best picture in the world but the only one I got from our night out together!)

Monday started off to be a very bad day. Isaiah was following me around with his blue blanket wanting to nurse all morning, I was trying to get everyone ready to take Marcos to school, and I was overly exhausted from the sleepless night we had. ( I think Isaiah's I-teeth better pop through soon, or I will scream!) I have been trying to ween Isaiah again, but he really likes to nurse! The doctor says that he isn't gaining much weight, so I am trying everything I can. My thinking is no milk= eating more solids!

So, Mando was off and decided he was going to take Isaiah somewhere (Riverside) for the day, and that left Marc at school, and me home alone....I do not know how to do alone! I grew up around massive amounts of noise and chaos, what was I suppose to do all alone!? I hadn't been away from Isaiah EVER!!! So this was hard for me. I cleaned up the house and cried alittle bit, and then cried a little more. Really dumb once I started thinking about what a good bonding moment it was going to be for him and Mando. He was going to play with the dogs and see his Nana and Papa, so why was I crying? (It helped me stop crying!) So, I thought this was a great opportunity to take Marcos to Disneyland just him and I, and we can go on all the rides we want as fast as we want, we don't have to wait on anyone, or switch riders. So, I picked him up at school and told him what we were going to do. His reply.... Awhhh, Disneyland again!? I told him this time it was our special date without Isaiah or Dad. He said... Does that mean we don't have to bring the stroller!? Me: Nope, no stroller. Marc: Yes that is so awesome.

( I guess he doesn't like the tram line for strollers!)

We rode soooo many rides, the longest wait was 15 minutes, and we had a blast. On the way home, we decided to go too dinner. I really wanted Marie Calendar's salad bar and soup! So we went there. Marcos just kept saying that this was the most awesomest day ever! It made me feel so good! I loved spending that time with him. I haven't been able too do that since before Isaiah was born. I need to do it more often. I love the time that I get with Isaiah when Marcos is at school as well, and we can just play, go for walks and take naps together! My kids are my heart, and I love them more then anything!

Carving Pumpkin's and "BOO~ING friends.....

Isaiah was eating the top of the pumpkin. GROSS!

The other night we were boo'ed. Someone...(my friend Tiffany) left a goodie bag on our door step, knocked and ran. Marcos was so excited! It said that you had to return the favor to 2 more families, so tonight was our night. We carved the pumpkin's, and went out to BOO people. We were so sneaky, and didn't even get caught! We are two for two. It was just Marcos and I, and this was our conversation on the way home.....
Me: Man Marcos, you are the BEST BOO'er ever!!!
Marcos: Oh yeah man, even ancient thieves would have tried to steal that treat basket!
I was laughing to myself so hard! I would like to just sit inside of his head for a day, he is the funniest kid when I am outside, I could only imagine what it would be like inside.... Laugh, Laugh, pee my pants, laugh, pee some more, laugh, go to sleep from laughing so much, wake up and do it all over again!

Going to Dinosaur park

My nephew Steven made the mistake of falling asleep on the couch, with Marcos in the house.I walked into the room, and Marcos had gone into Steven's room and grabbed one of the palm tree's and put it on top of Steve. I came back a little later, and Marcos had gotten another palm tree, a big black spider, and a pink flamingo to decorate his sleeping canvas! =)

Marcos and Kavin both really thought they were spiderman and thought that they could climb the dinosaur fossil.

Kavin, Marcos, and Kobie playing tag at the park.

Kavin is SO CUTE with babies! He loves to take Isaiah around, and play with him. He is a good little helper!

Isaiah loved the park... He wanted to climb everything! The whole entire trip he was afraid of any man that talked, looked or touched him! Hopefully he will be better next time?!!

I forgot to post this one with the mountain pictures. This was funny, because when we got up to the cabin, I had noticed the nieghbors across the street had a statue of a bear that said, "Hugs 5 cents." Well, I guess the kids had noticed it too, because when it got darker they all went up to the balcony to look at it! All the sudden you hear all the kids come running down the stairs trying to tell us all that the bear has come alive, and is moving! Darren had gone outside from the side of the house with Chloe for something and Randy grabbed the BB gun from the fireplace mantel. He said that he was going to go outside and "shoot the bear!" All of thier faces were priceless. So, Randy goes outside and around the corner where Darren was. All you hear is a bunch of noise and Randy running back into the house. He had pulled one of his arms out of his sleeve and ran in the holding that arm. Marcos couldn't get the door shut and locked fast enough. By the time he turned around, Randy had gone in the kitchen, squirted ketchup on his arm and said that he had been bitten! It was freakin' hillarious.
I had such a great time. It makes me sad when I know the family is getting together like this and I am not able to make it. But I think that it makes me appreciate it more when I am able to be there, and I enjoy every minute that I have even more because who knows when I will be able to hang out like that again! I love you guys, and am so lucky to have such a fun family!

Trip to Vegas...Mt. Charleston pictures

We had just gotten to the mountain and it started snowing!

Marcos' first day of school.....

It was so sad. He was so excited the night before school started! Mando's mom came down to stay the night, so she could see him off the first day with me...I think she thought I was going to lose it and cry all over the strangers! haaha Anyway, Marc woke up bright and early. We went through the morning routine, breakfast, shower, cartoon, brush teeth, and then I realized.... He had a kinked neck. He looked like he didn't have his V8 juice! His head was calked to one side and he couldn't tip it back, or straighten it. I felt so bad! I just wanted him to stay home, I didn't want his first day to be like that! Needless to say he went, and loved it.
When I went to pick him up, I asked him how his day was and what all they did. He said it was really good. When I asked how recess was, he said FUN! When I what they had for snack, man did I get an ear full! BAD.... you are trying to starve your son! You were suppose to pack me a snack and you didn't!! (In my defense, this is all new to me. None of the papers that they sent home said to pack your child a snack. It just said what time snack time was!) So we got past that. I asked him if he played with anyone, or made any new friends?
Marcos: No
Me: Why not
Marcos: (ahh) No body was cool enough!
This is going to be an interesting year!

Happy 6th Birthday Marcos!!!!!!

I know, my pictures are all mixed up. Sorry!
Mando wrapped these two little presents the night before Marc's birthday. The sad part was he showed them to Marcos all wrapped up and said, When you wake up in the morning, you can open these! Poor Marcos is just like me. We don't like waiting, we have to know NOW! So, needless to say, he was so excited he couldn't sleep.

He got another Ben 10 actiion figure new Bakugan's, a chair to sit in that reclines when he plays his video games (on the weekends), and a Nintendo DS. Lucky kid!

Cake #2. Nana and Papa wanted Marc to come down, so Papa could make him his favorite dinner... BBQ Ribs! Yummy. Marcos was in rib heaven. Then Nana made a cake and we sang happy birthday! We love hangin out with family!

Cake #1. This was on his actual birthday. He wanted his favorite dinner that I know how to make.... sloppy joe. So we invited the nieghbors over for some play time and dinner. He had a good time.

I am pretty sure it was Mando who shoved his face into the cake. Turn around to get a knife and you miss everything!
I can't believe that Marcos is already 6! Time has sure gone fast. I remember when he was just a baby, him helping me clean the house. I had my vacum, he had his. He would follow behind me and vacum with me. He was never afraid of anything. He climbed to the top of everything! People looked at me crazy, because he looked way younger then he was. And here I was letting him do it! He is the funniest kid ever, he loves to make you laugh. If you are ever sad, he wants to make you better with a joke, or hug or kiss! He will do just about anything for a laugh, or piece of candy....or should I say sugar! I love you Marcos, and I am so happy that you picked me to be your mommy! xoxoxoxox

Happy 1st Birthday Isaiah!!!

Isaiah was born August 17th, 2007. 6lbs. 10 oz. 19.5 inches.

I am the luckiest mom! Having you in my life is what keeps me going. I love that you are the happiest baby in the world. You are always wearing a big smile on your face. Nothing phases you. You get knocked down, you get right back up like you didn't feel a thing. You are so strong and determined. If any thing gets in your way you try to find a way around it, or just knock it down and continue on your mission of terror! You bring us some much fun, excitement, and joy! Without you my life I would feel incomplete.
I love it when you climb on my back and want to play. Or when you get tired and want to eat, you find your favorite blankey and follow me until I pick you up and rock you in the chair. (When you fall asleep you are so snuggley and warm.) Or when you want me to sing you one of your favorite songs, you put your head on my chest and just listen. I love seeing your personality. You are so goofy and funny, but can also be misceivious. You like to sneak up behind Marcos and pull his hair, or pinch him really hard to get him to scream! Once you get that, you are satisfied and leave.
I am so greatful for you, and the many things that you have brought to my life! I love you Bubba's!

Pictures from his 1st birthday party.....

He had his first hair cut! He looks so grown up! (Can you tell I cut it?)

Saiah and Daddy. He wasn't sure what to think of people in our house.

Showing off his ride to his cousin Bella....22's son!!

If you fake laugh at him randomly he thinks it is funny and starts cracking up!

They had to take a little intermission from the birfday party! To much dancing... I think Bella may have fallen asleep dancing with her hands over her head!! haa haa

Sorry for the boob shot, but I thought this picture was funny! He hated the frosting, but most of all he hated the frosting on his hands. He settled for a delicious banana popsicle instead!

He helped open the first one, and from there we lost control. All the kids started opening the rest. He got a new car garage, lego's and a couple of cute outfits. Yay!
It's the end of the party and it hit me..... I'm sad. My baby is getting so big so quickly! What if this is my last little baby, and last first birthday party? I would love another baby, but am okay with just having the two boys. (Unless I hit the lottery, then it is on!)heehee... Why couldn't it be like this...If you think that it may be your last child, I think that baby should come with a little controller. Something that you can keep them small for a while longer. So you can really enjoy each age that much more. When you are ready, just turn that sucker and bam.... you are at the next stage. Sorry, that was just my thought, and it sounded really good.

Random Pics...

Me and Isaiah at a in the jumper at a birthday party. He didn't care for it too much!

He is at that age where he is showing his independence! He was going to keep on walkin' until I called his name and he looked back! It went way to fast!!
